Yay! It is November, a season of newness. Just as autumn trees shed their leaves in preparation for winter, you are encouraged to take this season as an opportunity to release what no longer benefits your spirit, soul, and body. This November, let’s consider what burdens or distractions we may be holding onto that hinder our growth. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we’re reminded, “To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.” Shedding our spiritual “leaves” opens us to God’s new purposes for our lives.

Letting go isn’t always easy, but like trees that grow stronger and healthier through each season, we are renewed when we allow God to refresh our hearts. Remember, Jesus says in John 15:2, “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit”. Through His divine pruning, we are prepared to bear greater fruit.

As we embrace this season of change, may we be renewed in faith, hope, and purpose, trusting that God’s heritage and promises are our foundation. In this new month, let’s pray for the courage to release all unhealthy habits and the faith to receive God’s newness with open hearts. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
